Overview
King of Prussia is experiencing unprecedented economic growth and urban transformation with over $9 billion in development projects and CRE transactions since 2010, including mixed-use projects, multifamily housing and retail expansion. King of Prussia District plays a critical role in guiding and supporting this transformation. We are now seeking a dedicated and skilled Placemaking Manager to lead physical improvement and transportation projects, oversee design and construction operations and manage the maintenance of public enhancements throughout the District. This full-time position will report to the Director of Capital Projects and Planning and collaborate closely with internal staff and external partners. The successful candidate will bring strong leadership and project management capabilities, a background in landscape and site design, landscape maintenance and construction and a hands-on, team-oriented approach. This is a small, fast-paced organization that values initiative, creativity and a good sense of humor. The ideal candidate must be comfortable managing multiple priorities and working collaboratively to help shape the future of King of Prussia.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range – $50,000 – $60,000/year.
Benefits include paid time off, personal days, holidays, medical and dental insurance (90% employer-paid), short- and long-term disability, and a Safe Harbor 401(k) plan with a 5% company match.

- Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Landscape Architecture, Construction Management,
- Environmental Design or related field preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in public space design, construction management, landscape architecture or related fields.
- Experience in managing capital improvement projects and coordinating with design professionals and contractors.
- Familiarity with sustainable landscape design, maintenance operations and urban infrastructure.
- Strong management skills; capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook for Mac); experience in a
- Mac-based environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of design software (CAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite) is helpful but not required.
- Experience working in or with non-profits, municipalities or business improvement districts is a plus.
- A collaborative spirit, attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a small team environment.
