The County of Lycoming is seeking qualified applicants to fill the position of Deputy Director for the Department of Planning and Community Development.

The Lycoming County Department of Planning and Community Development promotes and encourages sound community development initiatives and policies through the implementation of the County’s Comprehensive Plan. The Deputy Director will work closely with the Director as they direct, manage, supervise, and coordinate the activities and operations of the Planning and Community Development Department. Department Divisions include: Administration, Development Services, GIS/Land Use Planning, Transposition, and Planning.

The Deputy Director facilitates and promotes community development, economic development and infrastructure investments through collaboration with state and local officials, community stakeholders, planning partners, and internal project teams. The Deputy Director assists the Director with long-range strategic county government and departmental planning, budget development, and program management to achieve optimal county and agency effectiveness.
The Deputy Director leads the comprehensive planning programs of the Lycoming County Planning Commission and acts as technical advisor to the Planning Commission.

Location: Williamsport, PA
Position Type: Full-Time / Exempt (37.5 hours/week)
Starting Salary: $62,809.50; Salary commensurate with experience and education.
