Understanding Allegheny County’s New Flood Insurance Rate Maps: Protecting Your Community!
The updated Flood Insurance Rate Maps for Allegheny County have been finalized and the maps are due to go effective on September 26, 2014. Come find out what you need to know to implement the changes and protect your community!
We will discuss the ordinance update process and considerations for permitting, flood insurance implications, and ways to reduce flood insurance rates through the incorporation of higher standards and the Community Rating System. We will also cover ways that communities can take action to mitigate risk.
