In this session, speakers will focus on ways to strategically maximize resources and drive innovation to make progress towards creating more aging-friendly communities, including: (1) results of a 2019 survey with ICMA on the extent that local governments engage in planning that meets the needs of all residents and deliver more equal functional capacity across the lifecycle; (2) how to balance the diverse needs of Baby Boomers and 85-plus to address service effectiveness with an innovative GIS data driven tool that helps City decisionmakers visualize service impacts and drive investment; and, (3) pioneering paratransit innovations to advance Mobility as a Service to achieve a more equitable transportation future.
