Tri-County Regional Planning Commission Annual Dinner Keynote Speech|1CM

Mariia Zimmerman is delivering the keynote speech at the Tri-County Regional Planning Commission’s 2016 Annual Dinner. In her presentation, she will detail her 20 years of policy and planning experience with the federal government, the national Center for Transit-Oriented Development (TOD), and on Capitol Hill. She’s expected to address the importance of collaborative efforts to update land use policies and align funding programs to support development, and integrate regional transportation and economic planning to support thriving and inclusive communities.

This event offers planners a chance to learn about the importance of regional collaboration in land use, transportation and economic development planning from a seasoned, veteran planner of national reputation. The presentation will include information that will enhance a planner’s ability to do his or her job by relaying professional advice and experience in best practices. Attendees will learn about the development of regional programs necessary to garner political support for implementing plans and policies to create thriving, inclusive communities. The keynote speech is scheduled to be an hour in duration.
