Sign Regulations That Encourage Outstanding Design

How does your community regulate signs so they fit in with applicable design guidelines and community aesthetic desires? Jurisdictions often struggle with the regulation and administration of signs and aesthetics. This session will focus on the elements of great design for signs and zoning tools that can assist in the creation of signs that contain the elements of outstanding design.

Planners will come away with an understanding of the critical design elements that produce creative and outstanding signs. Key regulatory considerations that can facilitate in the creation of signs with outstanding design characteristics will be highlighted.  In addition, attendees will have an in depth knowledge of Phoenix’s approach to creating outstanding and creative sign designs through performance based comprehensive sign plans.
