Planning for Active Transportation in Southwestern Pennsylvania

Are you interested in making your community a safer place to bike and walk, but are overwhelmed or unsure where to start? Learn more about how the Southwestern Pennsylvania Commission (SPC) is planning for active transportation and providing technical guidance to local governments seeking to plan for and build active transportation networks that provide accessibility and connectivity for people and places.

This webinar will provide an overview of SPC’s recently adopted active transportation plan and companion, web-based toolkit known as the Active Transportation Resource Center. The Active Transportation Resource Center is a central clearinghouse for the latest information on active transportation. Resources include information on programs that support biking and walking, potential funding opportunities, design guidelines, and more!
