Making Community Parks Sustainable, Fun and Functional through Green Infrastructure (GI):  This webinar will explore how GI designed elements for community park and trail systems are an essential part of a community’s revitalization process and assist with mitigating regulatory requirements for stormwater.  Participants will also learn how to integrate GI into their park projects, how municipalities can potentially receive “credit” for them as part of their MS4 permitting requirements, become aware of various funding sources available for these projects and how to leverage them to meet potential matching requirements.

The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR), Bureau of Recreation and Conservation (BRC) 2017 grant program for statewide, regional and local recreation and conservation projects will open on January 23 and close on April 12, 2017.  Opportunities for training and technical assistance on this grant program and other recreation and conservation related topics are being offered through a series of four webinars in January and February.  On-line pre-registration is required for the webinars.
