Central Section presents Preservation Matters and Here’s Why…Tools for Community & Economic Vitality

This workshop will make the connection between historic preservation and its role in Community and Economic Development. How can historic preservation be used to revitalize a downtown, borough, or city? What is worth saving when it comes to keeping the character of your community and its tie to its past?

Throughout the day, you will learn techniques and tools of how to put into action plans for historic preservation that exemplify goals of community and economic vitality. Specific examples of successful projects, as well as funding opportunities will be discussed.
