Community Revitalization: Connecting People to Place
Join fellow planners to learn about community revitalization tools, tips, best practices, and exciting projects across the Central Region of Pennsylvania.
The PA Downtown Center will set the stage by shedding light on how we got to where we are today and providing an overview of the Main Street Program. Subsequently, the PA Department of Community & Economic Development will discuss its programs and resources that could benefit revitalization efforts.
Four communities throughout the Region will then share their revitalization initiatives, including what worked & didn’t work.
- Lititz (Lancaster Co)
- Carlisle (Cumberland Co)
- Williamsport (Lycoming Co)
- Hershey (Dauphin Co)
The workshop will conclude with a discussion of the biggest challenges facing communities and lessons learned from the revitalization efforts presented.
