All-Hazard Mitigation Plan Risk Assessment

April 24, 2013 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

The Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency is conducting its triennial update of the State Standard All-Hazard Mitigation Plan this spring and summer.  We hope you can join us the Risk Assessment meeting:

April 24, 2013
1-3 p.m.
PEMA Headquarters, Room 230
2605 Interstate Drive
Harrisburg PA

This meeting is part of an important initiative throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to re-convene the State Planning Team to update the State Standard All-Hazard Mitigation Plan.  Michael Baker, Jr. Inc. has been contracted to assist in this federally-mandated activity.  This update to the current 2010 plan will be the blueprint for further reducing property damage and saving lives from the effects of future natural and human-made disasters within the Commonwealth.  This plan update is also required for all jurisdictions within the Commonwealth to be eligible to receive certain types of state and federal funding both before and after a disaster occurs.  The final plan must be submitted to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Region III, by mid-August 2013 for their review and final approval. Information from the meeting and opportunities for reviewing and commenting on the State Standard All-Hazard Mitigation Plan will be available throughout the planning process at www.pemahmp.com.

Please RSVP to Ms. Gerry Fulton by April 22, 2013.  If you are unable to attend, but would like to participate in the planning process, or should you have any questions regarding the planning update process, you may contact Ms. Fulton at 215-430-5501.
