Water quantity and quality are shaping up as the prominent issues impacting planning and growth management in the coming years. The Florida Legislature has indicated that state water policy will be the focus of the 2015 session. This two-part program will provide a timely discussion of these issues to identify the challenges posed and the solutions sought. This is Part I of the program, which will address water quantity. Specifically, the first session will address water supply concerns already impacting the state’s agricultural interests and local governments and the innovative legislative and technical solutions currently being discussed.
