The Hourglass invites you to attend an important forum, a continuing event in the John Jarvis Lecture Series.  The Next 10 Years: Positioning Lancaster For Growth, April 4, 2013.  Registration begins at 5:00PM followed by the reception at 5:30PM.  For more information and the view the invitation>>

The world has changed, and that’s good news for small cities like Lancaster. The recent recession has changed attitudes on where people, young and old, want to live and work. Many small cities across the country are gaining population faster than the suburbs.

Nationally recognized for his expertise in “walkable urbanism,” Christopher Leinberger will share his thoughts on how Lancaster can better respond to emerging opportunities, new ideas, and strategic planning that encourages people to enjoy the urban experience by living and working downtown. And he will discuss the infrastructure investment that must be considered.
