Greenways, Trails and Lanes: Connecting Allegheny County Communities with Green Assets

Preserving natural areas and creating bicycle/pedestrian connections is goal many of our planning efforts aim to achieve. Explore how the City of Pittsburgh and the Green Web (Allegheny County) are creating innovative open space networks, building green infrastructure, increasing economic development opportunities, and improving quality of life. Learn about the challenges and successes of creating policy, partnerships, and programming to gain insight to a practical approach to greenway visioning, development, and management at various scales.
