Real Estate Project Feasibility

Participate in a comprehensive review of the assessment that take place prior to the acquisition or development of commercial property. Learn how to conduct analysis on various real estate development projects to identify the magnitude of the risk, and based on that assessment, make the decision to move forward or not with the development project. Topics include: analyzing market data; assessing and valuing site; preparing and evaluating “back of the envelope” budgets; assessing community and political environment; and reviewing regulatory, title and other issues. A case study will be used to assess the potential economic viability of a real estate development project.

The NJRA Redevelopment Training Institute (NJRA RTI) offers intensive intermediate-level training courses that focus on the redevelopment of New Jersey’s communities. NJRA RTI is designed to provide non-profit and for-profit developers, professional consultants, entrepreneurs and city/county staff with a body of knowledge of the redevelopment and real estate development process. The goal of NJRA RTI is to provide classroom instruction outlining the nuances of the redevelopment planning process in New Jersey, to focus on the real estate development process and to unlock the key to understanding project finance.

It is the Governor’s focus to ensure that economic growth benefits all cities and regions of the state creating new economic opportunities for all New Jersey citizens. After the completion of this training, attendees will be better equipped to carry out more responsible redevelopment. The knowledge learned will contribute to strengthening New Jersey’s economy and improving the quality of life.
