Penn State Extension: How Can Planners Work to Enhance Community Food Systems|1.25CM

September 17, 2014 @ 12:00 pm - 1:15 pm

How Can Planners Work to Enhance Community Food Systems?

Efforts to address community problems (e.g. health issues, environmental issues, or social concerns) result in varying degrees of success. What works in one community can fail miserably in another. The Community Readiness Model (CRM) provides an innovative approach to assessing a community’s awareness of a problem and its preparedness to change. This webinar will describe how the CRM works, and provide an example of how planners can use it to address food access for communities in the Northeastern U.S.
