Mid-Atlantic Planning Collaboration
Affordable Housing: Urban, Suburban, and Rural Perspectives

The Pennsylvania Chapter will host a dynamic and inclusive conversation exploring housing challenges and opportunities through the lenses of urban, rural, and suburban communities. This discussion will highlight the unique barriers faced by each setting, from affordability, infrastructure, and zoning in urban areas; to access, resources, and transportation in rural communities; to land use, growth pressures, and affordability concerns in suburban areas. Speakers will share strategies, case studies, and innovative approaches that address these challenges while identifying opportunities for collaboration and policy alignment. The goal is to ensure the conversation resonates with—and is relevant to—participants from all geographic contexts, fostering practical takeaways that can be adapted to diverse communities. This webinar aims to broaden perspectives, encourage cross-community dialogue, and equip attendees with actionable ideas to advance equitable housing solutions across the spectrum of urban, rural, and suburban environments.
