Growth and Preservation: Working Together for Economic Success

When: Tuesday, April 18, 2017 – 5:30-8:30pm

Joe Minicozzi, AICP, principal of Urban3, LLC will bring the National Association of Realtors Smart Growth principles to southern Chester County for a night of discussion about the economics of land use and the importance of sustainable growth. Joe will talk about the financial benefits of directing development toward existing communities. He will demonstrate how mixed land use can help to preserve open space, farmland, and critical environmental areas. He will include ways to factor costs for capital improvements, so that development decisions can be predictable and cost effective. He will emphasize the importance of community and stakeholder collaboration in order to balance growth and preservation. Approved for 2 CM credits.
