Chester County Planners’ Forum

The Chester County Planning Commission’s Spring 2017 Planners’ Forum will take place from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. May 2 on the second floor of the West Goshen Township Building, 1025 Paoli Pike, West Chester, PA 19380. This event is for professional and municipal planners and will feature presentations on roundabouts, the Brandywine River greenway, developers’ reasons for rezoning requests, and the status of trails in the county.
Here’s the agenda for the forum:
8:00 – 8:30 – Arrival, coffee and pastries
8:30 – 8:35 – Introduction of Attendees
- Organization and Role
8:35 – 8:40 – Landscapes3 Status and Process (CCPC staff will provide a brief overview of Landscapes3 and answer any questions you might have about its status.)
8:40 – 8:55 – Roundabouts: The Swarthmore Experience and Planning Level Guidance (Nicole Kline and Jamie Kouch of McMahon will give this presentation.)
8:55 – 9:10 – Communicating the Brandywine Greenway Plan (Sheila Fleming, Greenway Coordinator for the Brandywine Conservancy, will present several new tools being used to connect municipalities and other constituents with this conservation and recreation corridor.)
9:10 – 9:30 – By Right or By Wrong (Lisa Thomas of Glackin Thomas Panzak will lead a discussion on why developers are requesting so many zoning changes.)
9:30 – 10:00 – Networking time. As always, CCPC staff will be available to answer questions about our services, data, and projects. (CCPC staff will remain after 10 to answer any questions anyone might still have.)
