This webinar will focus on community and economic development in challenged neighborhoods that have a high percentage of poverty and unemployment. Content will include assessing market opportunities for prospective businesses in these areas, working with prospects from low and moderate income households who are interested in starting or growing a business, and developing coalitions between school districts, local businesses, and non-profits to develop readiness to work programs including soft skills training and customized job training. Financing for business start-ups and expansions in these areas will also be discussed.
