Propel Schools Foundation Seeking Teacher Residency Collaborative

You are invited to submit your credentials as a consultant to undertake an educational collaboration between select public charter schools religious schools, and independent schools in the recruitment of non-traditional diverse teachers to be integrated into select schools and school systems in Allegheny County. The initial partners of this new collaboration include Propel Schools, Extra Mile, FAME (Fund For Advancement of Minorities Through Education) and at least one independent school.

We are desirous of a professional consultant that can bring together the aforementioned collaborators to establish the best structure for the new partnership; further define each entity’s roles and responsibilities; discuss future recruitment, retention and evaluation strategies; define partner sustainability path and support partner uniqueness but maintain the overall program integrity and continuity across partnerships.

1. Partnership structure developed and agreed to by all collaboration partners.
2. Future group operations planned (meeting, project activity responsibilities etc.).
3. Future recruitment, retention and evaluation and planning structure.
4. Partnership sustainability plan will be established.

Propel Schools is having a significant, positive impact on diversifying our teaching population. In the last five years Propel Schools has gone from just under 5% diverse teachers to 16% in our current fiscal year. We are hoping to support a community partnership that promotes and provides diversity in schools.
