Lower Merion Township – Building & Planning Seeking Planner

This highly motivated and responsible candidate with mid-level experience as a community planner will possess experience in a broad range of planning disciplines including, but not limited to, environmental conservation, historic preservation, building and architectural design, transportation coordination and established understanding of planning policy.

Typical daily tasks involve reviewing and tracking development plans for completeness and compliance with Township codes, while providing information to interested parties regarding land use policy and making recommendations regarding land use proposals.

A bachelor’s degree from a recognized college or university in urban planning or a related field, plus two years of progressively responsible experience in municipal planning and plan review. AICP certification or related professional license is preferred.

Expertise with ESRI ArcGIS or other geospatial analysis tools preferred.

Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
