Kitchen & Associates (K&A), is a multi-disciplinary design firm located in Collingswood, New Jersey that provides architecture, planning, engineering, interior design, and energy services with an intentional focus on creating positive and sustainable social, economic, and cultural benefits in the communities we serve. We are presently seeking an enthusiastic planning and design professional with excellent planning, site, and urban design skills.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s of Architecture or Master’s degree in Urban Design or Architecture and at least three years of professional experience in design. AICP licensure and/or a Master’s degree in City Planning is a plus. Project experience should include site research and analysis, planning studies, community planning, urban design, master plans, site plans and capacity studies. Experience with architectural design, mixed-use and multi-family projects is also desirable.

The Small Print — Salary commensurate with experience and includes an excellent benefits package. A valid drivers license is required for this position. Our offices are located in the historic Zane School Office Building, just two blocks from the Collingswood PATCO station, and only 10 minutes from Center City, Philadelphia. Requirements

 

A working knowledge of standard office software programs as well as experience with AutoCAD and/or 3D modeling programs (ArchiCAD, Revit) are required. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, GIS and Sketch-Up are a plus. Excellent verbal and writing skills and strong graphic presentation skills (both free-hand and digital) are essential. Experience with community engagement and public speaking are a plus. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, organized, and resourceful individual with the ability to work independently or in a team environment and will be comfortable working on multiple projects simultaneously.
