Job Description

 

Leadership

  • Ensure the organization has a long-range strategy that is mission oriented
  • Act as a catalyst for organizational change, building a shared vision with others, and translating the vision to action
  • Lead in the development and implementation of program, organizational, and financial plans in conjunction with the Board of Directors

Communication

  • Ensure Board of Directors have sufficient, timely, and up-to-date information
  • Keep Board informed of any internal/external issues that may impact operations and results
  • Engage the community and publicize and promote the activities of the organization across all media platforms
  • Develop and maintain a positive organizational image and positive relations with internal and external stakeholders

Administrative

  • Maintain official records and documents and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Research and secure applicable grants and other funding sources
  • Conduct official correspondence as approved by the Board and execute legal documents with designated officers

Financial

  • Demonstrate broad understanding of principles of financial management, including cost-benefit analysis and monitoring of expenditures
  • Create financial analyses of development projects, understanding the combination of different funding sources and their rules and regulations
  • Develop and maintain financial practices in accordance with all applicable State and Federal laws and regulations
  • Assist in budget preparation and implementation
  • Operate within budgetary guidelines
