An established consulting firm headquartered in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania has an opportunity for a seasoned Associate to join its economic development team.
The candidate will cultivate relationships with clients by working collaboratively with them on implementation of economic development strategies, in conjunction with attending public and private meetings on their behalf. He/she will be tasked with researching, assessing regional and national economic development best practices, modeling, and analyzing data for economic development plans and strategies; drafting reports, project descriptions, and preparing presentation materials. Additional responsibilities include researching federal and state economic development programs, as well as completing comprehensive grant proposals and loan applications. The candidate will also be responsible for identifying marketing opportunities and business development functions.
- The candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in the economic development field and possess a bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited four-year college or university.
- A thorough understanding of economic development and the workings of the government at the local, state, and federal levels is required.
- Grant writing experience with Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP) and Multimodal applications is beneficial.
- The candidate must possess excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills and have the desire to expand his/her knowledge base in order to assist senior project staff.
