Planner 1 – Communication Specialist

Description 

Crawford County Planning is seeking an inspiring and highly motivated professional able to support the creation, distribution, and monitoring of education and marketing materials for the various plans, projects, and programs undertaken by Crawford County Planning to implement our recently adopted comprehensive plan, Crawford Inspired. The Communication Specialist supports internal and external communication of our core functions in an effort to:
• Write clear, professional content for press releases, public speaking events, social media, and other communication methods.
• Craft compelling content that aligns with the agency’s mission, values, and priorities for various audiences.
• Use technology to advance communication of community planning and development initiatives.

Requirements

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED with one year of experience in the field is required. An Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university in communications media or similar field is preferred. Certifications related to the position may replace up to one year of experience.
