Salary: $40,000-45,760 per year

Allegheny County Economic Development (ACED) is a dynamic, multidisciplinary agency serving the citizens of Allegheny County. Through investments in a variety of projects including affordable housing development, land development, infrastructure development, business attraction and expansion, land use, and transportation planning, ACED maximizes regional economic growth, neighborhood vitality, and quality of life in its 130 municipalities. Under the supervision of the Assistant Director for Mobility and Transportation Initiatives, this position contributes to the transportation planning efforts in and for Allegheny County.

Requirements

 

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in City Planning, Transportation Planning, Public Policy, Public Administration, Civil Engineering, or a related degree (e.g., Business Administration, Urban Studies, Political Science, etc.) AND one (1) year of related experience in transportation planning, mobility planning, or multi-modal planning. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.

A valid Pennsylvania driver’s license is required upon appointment.

It is the policy of Allegheny County that in order to receive a final offer of employment, candidates must successfully pass a background check, which includes verification of Allegheny County Real Estate Tax status, and drug/medical examinations as required for the position. The pre-employment drug screen must be completed within 48 hours of the acceptance of the conditional offer of employment.

Residency: Allegheny County within 1 year.
Veterans’ Preference: Will be awarded to eligible candidates.
