This presentation will be specific on recent developments in Pennsylvania land use law.  It will address the impacts of Pennsylvania Supreme Court’s Robinson Township v. Commonwealth decision local governments’ authority to regulate the activities of the oil and gas industry, focusing on the extent to which Act 13 preempts or supersedes zoning authority.  It will also provide a summary of other recent land use and private sector planners, such as decisions regarding billboard regulations and the implementation of the Religious Land Uses and Institutionalized Persons Act of 2000.
