Where It All Goes and Why You Need to Know: Act 537 Sewage Facilities Planning Requirements

PA Sewage Facilities Act planning requirements affect how land can be used, developed, subdivided and conveyed.  A municipality’s Act 537 Plan can set a course for growth and development in the municipality for years to come.  Yet PA Act 537 requirements are often thought of as primarily technical in nature, and generally not within the purview of the land use planner.  This workshop will cover requirements of the Act that affect land use, land development, and land use planning including the relationship to the municipal comprehensive plan.
